Market Day 2017

What a success our Market Day was last Friday morning! It was wonderful to see so many families and community members in the undercroft purchasing fresh produce, plants, sweets, jams and relishes from the stalls. The Prep to Year Two children were actively involved in preparation for the day, including making various art and craft items to sell. The Year Two children have been learning about the properties of materials in Science, and so made some delicious-smelling bath bombs! We also had some senior students providing music entertainment for us!

A huge thanks must go to Mrs Sonya Teevan for facilitating the event. Thank you also to Mrs Beck Gibbons for co-ordinating the barbeque and to the Keogh family for running the coffee van on the day. We are very grateful for the many parents and grandparents who prepared and contributed items to sell on the day.

Overall, we raised over $2600 from the event. Funds raised from Market Day will be donated to Rosies Outreach Program, an organisation of people that reaches out to the homeless and abandoned in our community.
